Giving Back

I'd like to take this time to draw attention to two very important organizations that Andrea Rees Photography supports. While I wish these organizations didn't have to exist, sadly they do. It is my hope to be able to contribute and give back to them.

The first is the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. When a Maternity or Intimate (glamour,boudoir,intimate) portrait session is booked, 20% of the session fee will be donated to CBCF, Ontario chapter.

The second is Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, a non-profit organization that provides infant bereavement photography and support to families experiencing infant loss. Andrea is now an affiliate photographer and provides families with a private and sensitive photography session, a CD of images for printing and a DVD slideshow. This service is free of charge. She's 2!

I've been photographing A since she was 9 weeks old. Well actually since her mommy was pregnant with her. Now A is a big sister and I've been photographing him during his first year as well. Recently, A celebrated her 2nd birthday and she came in for a birthday photo shoot. Most of you know that I don't use props all that much, but I've recently acquired some beautiful puffy skirts that I couldn't resist. I already had the hats and pearls so together with the skirt, these photos of A are darling and make for great dress-up fun for the little girls that come in.
